Science Essay / Article Writing Campaign — Official Announcement

An initiative of Green Donor — The Eco-Earth Institute and Research Centre (EERC India)

On the occasion of National Science Day 2027, Green Donor – EERC India cordially invites students, teachers, professors, educators, researchers, and academic professionals from across India to participate in this special science writing campaign.

The campaign is dedicated to promoting scientific temper, innovation, environmental awareness, and a culture of research, while providing a national platform for meaningful ideas concerning the relationship between science, society, and Mother Nature.

Participants in the Student Category will submit an Essay, while participants in the Educator Category will submit an Article. The topic will remain the same for both categories.

Essay / Article Topic

Building a Green India through Science and Innovation

Language of Writing: Hindi or English — participants may choose either one language.

Word Limit: Approximately 600 words for both categories.

Scope of the Topic

Participants may discuss how science, scientific thinking, and innovation can contribute to environmental conservation and the building of a greener India.

The essay or article may focus on one or more areas such as:

Water conservation
Clean and renewable energy
Waste management
Biodiversity conservation
Sustainable agriculture
Environment-friendly lifestyles

Participants may also include practical solutions to local environmental problems, original ideas, scientific approaches, and relevant examples.

Participant Categories

1. Student Category

Students currently enrolled in a recognised school, college, university, or other educational institution are eligible to participate in this category.

2. Educator Category

Teachers, faculty members, professors, educators, researchers, and academic professionals associated with schools, colleges, universities, or other educational and research institutions are eligible to participate in this category.

Recognition & Honours

Participation Certificate

All participants who submit a valid entry in accordance with the prescribed rules and guidelines will receive an e-Certificate of Participation.

Special Honour

Dr. C. V. Raman Green Donor Excellence Award 2027

The authors of the Top 3 Essays in the Student Category and the Top 3 Articles in the Educator Category will be honoured with the Dr. C. V. Raman Green Donor Excellence Award 2027.

Guidelines for Submission of Essay / Article After Registration

The essay or article must be original and typed.

For submissions written in Hindi, participants should use a Unicode Devanagari font, such as Mangal, Nirmala UI, or Lohit Devanagari.

Accepted File Formats

.doc, .docx, or .pdf

The following submissions will not be accepted:

Handwritten essays or articles
Scanned copies
Photographs or screenshots of written material
Essays or articles generated using Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Plagiarised, copied, or otherwise unauthentic content

Any entry found to be in violation of the prescribed rules may be disqualified.

Mandatory Documents for Verification

Participants must submit:

One recent and clearly visible selfie
A valid identity document

Accepted identity documents may include:

School, college, or university identity card
Voter ID card
Driving license
Any other valid official identity document

Originality Declaration & Final Decision

Each participant will be required to declare that the submitted essay or article is their own original work and that no material belonging to another person has been presented as their own.

The decision of Green Donor – EERC India regarding the validity of entries, evaluation, selection, and awards shall be final and binding.

⚠️ Important Note Regarding Absence from the Award Ceremony

If a participant secures any award or position in the competition, the corresponding Certificate, Trophy, Medal, or other physical honour will be presented at the award ceremony to the awardee in person.

If an awardee is unable to attend the ceremony for any reason, the Trophy, Medal, Certificate, or any other award material will not be handed over to any representative, family member, relative, friend, or other person on the awardee’s behalf. The award material will also not be sent by post or courier.

Therefore, all awardees are requested to make every possible effort to attend the award ceremony in person.

If attendance is not possible due to unavoidable circumstances, the awardee should contact us in advance on our Mother No. / Green Helpline WhatsApp: 9826 220022 and may personally collect the award/honour from the Green Donor – EERC India office in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, on or before 31 March 2027.

After 31 March 2027, Green Donor – EERC India shall not be under any obligation to keep, dispatch, or provide any uncollected award material.
