Dr. C. V. Raman Green Donor Science Writing Awards 2027 Announced on the Occasion of National Science Day

National platform for students and educationists to present their ideas on science, innovation and a greener India

Bhopal: On the occasion of National Science Day 2027, Green Donor – The Eco-Earth Institute and Research Centre (EERC India) has announced the Dr. C. V. Raman Green Donor Science Writing Awards 2027.

The national science writing initiative invites students, teachers, professors, educationists, researchers and academic professionals from across India to present their ideas on the relationship between science, innovation, society, environment and Mother Nature.

The theme of the competition is:

“Building a Green India through Science and Innovation”

Participants may submit their entries in either Hindi or English, with an approximate word limit of 600 words.

The competition will be conducted in two categories. Participants in the Student Category will submit an Essay, while those in the Educationist Category will submit an Article.

The registration fee is ₹321 for the Student Category and ₹521 for the Educationist Category. The last date for registration is 31 December 2026.

According to the organisers, the initiative is aimed at promoting scientific temper, innovation, environmental awareness and a culture of research. Participants may address areas such as water conservation, clean and renewable energy, waste management, biodiversity conservation, sustainable agriculture, environment-friendly lifestyles and practical scientific solutions to local environmental challenges.

Only original and typed entries will be accepted. Handwritten submissions, scanned copies, photographs or screenshots of written material will not be accepted. AI-generated essays or articles, plagiarised material and copied or unauthentic content will also be disqualified.

All participants who submit a valid entry in accordance with the prescribed rules and guidelines will receive an e-Certificate of Participation.

The authors of the Top 3 Essays in the Student Category and the Top 3 Articles in the Educationist Category will be honoured with the:

Dr. C. V. Raman Green Donor Excellence Award 2027

Awardees are expected to attend the award ceremony in person. If an awardee is unable to attend, the trophy, medal, certificate or other physical award material will not be handed over to any representative and will not be sent by post or courier.

Awardees who are unable to attend the ceremony may, after prior coordination, personally collect their award from the Green Donor – EERC India office in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, on or before 31 March 2027.
