National Event Held at Barkatullah University, Bhopal

Bhopal:
A national program dedicated to promoting scientific thinking, environmental responsibility, and nature-centric values was organized under the Dr. C. V. Raman Green Donor Science Writing Awards 2026 at Barkatullah University, Bhopal. The event was conducted with the collaboration of Green Donor – The Eco-Earth Institute & Research Centre (EERC India) and Barkatullah University, bringing together scholars, students, environmental enthusiasts, and members of the Harit Veer community from different parts of the country.

The initiative aims to encourage scientific writing and strengthen ecological awareness by connecting science, society, and the protection of Mother Nature.

Address by the Chief Guest

The program was graced by Prof. S. K. Jain, Vice-Chancellor of Barkatullah University, who highlighted the importance of translating environmental concern into meaningful action. In his address, he emphasized that true environmental responsibility emerges when individuals integrate scientific understanding with practical efforts to protect nature.

Shri Prakash Naik, ADM (Government of Madhya Pradesh) attended the program as a special guest and appreciated the Green Donor initiative for encouraging youth to adopt scientific thinking and positive social responsibility toward environmental protection.

Distinguished Presence

The event was also attended by Samar Bahadur Singh, Registrar, Barkatullah University.

Mrs. Radhika Virendra, Director – Green Donor, addressed the gathering and spoke about the need to cultivate ecological responsibility in society, particularly among young people. She emphasized that environmental protection must become a shared social mission.

Veerji, environmental thinker and inspiration behind the Harit Veer initiative, shared reflections on scientific curiosity and human responsibility toward nature. He noted that every individual carries the potential to think scientifically and contribute meaningfully to the protection of Mother Nature.

Joint Second Prize: Dr. Ananya Choudhary (West Bengal), Hrishikesh Sonanje, and Dr. Siddharth Shukla (Madhya Pradesh)

Student Category

First Prize: Swasti Jain and Abhinav Dixit (Madhya Pradesh)
Joint Second Prize: Tanvi Jyotishi (Maharashtra) and Vanshika Chauhan (Uttar Pradesh)

In addition to the top winners, more than 62 participants from across India were honored as Green Donor Medalists, recognizing their contributions to science writing and environmental awareness.

Demonstration of the Green Donor Effect

A unique experiential moment during the program was the presentation of the Green Donor Effect Theory. Within a few moments, the entire auditorium entered a state of complete silence as participants collectively reflected on gratitude and responsibility toward Mother Nature. The experience symbolized the harmony between scientific thought, ecological sensitivity, and human consciousness.

Conclusion

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Pawan Mishra, Head – Department of Student Welfare, Barkatullah University. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to advancing environmental awareness and strengthening the Green Donor movement in society.
